January 31st - February 6th:
- Mon - 11.1 mi | 6mi AM @ Forest Park in morning before storms roll
through with nasty weather, 5.1mi PM around Shrewsbury after work
- Tue - 12.25 mi | 5mi AM @ 24hr Fitness on dreaded
treadmill before work due to weather, 7.25mi PM around Shrewsbury and Old
Webster Groves in the SNOW!
- Wed - 5.1 mi @ FE Social Run - modified course due to
snow/ice
- Thu - 12 mi @ CH Social Run (6mi before group run on the
course, then 6mi w/ Brian D. during the run)
- Fri - 10 mi @ Forest Park WORKOUT - Race Simulation
2mi / 2xMile / 2x800 all with .25m jog rest before work
- Goal paces = 2mi ~5:40s / Mile ~5:30s / 800
~5:00-5:10effort - everything should feel under control and smooth, relaxed
- Ran 2mi warm up and then just went straight into the
workout:
- 2 mi = 11:12 (5:43, 5:29 splits)
- 1 mi = 5:19
- 1 mi = 5:23 (into wind)
- 800 = 2:33
- 800 = 2:33
- Ran 2mi cool down to complete the run. All my rest
segments were .25 in length easy jogging to keep the legs moving.
Overall felt pretty good. Ran most of this along Lagoon Dr in Forest
Park save for the 2mi which started over by the ice rink and had some hills
at the start, but the rest of workout was flat. Heading out towards
Skinker had the wind, so the 2 mile was in that direction as was the second
individual mile. I was happy with it since I would normally do this on
a track, first time on the roads.
- Sat - 1 mi @ Home, car was snowed in so couldn't make
social run, ran mile to grab shovel so it counts. :) haha
- Sun - 14.65 mi @ MHS before work
- Weekly Total = 66.1 miles
February 7th - February 13th: Rock and Roll Mardi Gras
Marathon Sunday in New Orleans, LA!
- Mon - 6.02 mi from parents home, saw Feder this morning
to get worked on.
- Tue - 5.66 mi @ Forest Park before work easy
- Wed - 7.3 mi @ FE Social Run (Snow/ice route)
- Thu - 9.36 mi @ CH Social Run (4.36mi before group run
along levee and road, 5mi w/ social runners)
- Fri - 5.08 mi | 3.08mi AM @ Forest Park before leaving for New Orleans.
2mi shakeout run from hotel around midnight then dinner.
- Sat - 4.32 mi in the morning around City Park easy
- Sun - 26.32 mi RNR Mardi Gras Marathon - 2:30:02, 4th
overall - NEW PR!
- Weekly Total = 64.06 miles
February 14th - February 20th:
- Mon - 2 mi along River Des Peres shakeout run getting
home from New Orleans and then headed to work
- Tue - 4.25 mi River Des Peres path to Gravois and back
after work
- Wed - 12.12 mi | 6.12mi @ Forest Park around noon (1st
run felt normal again), 6mi PM @ FE Social Run
- Thu - 11.75 mi @ CH Social Run (6.75mi before group run
Wild Horse Creek loop ext, 5mi w/ social runners)
- Fri - 7 mi @ Forest Park before work - great run!
- Sat - 5 mi @ FE Social Run
- Sun - 8.7 mi @ FE after work
- Weekly Total = 50.82 miles
February 21st - February 27th:
- Mon - 13.14 mi from home to Forest Park / Science Center
/ Macklind Ave / Arsenal / Watson and home
- Tue - 3.34 mi @ FE Social loop in reverse before work
- Wed - 11.54 mi @ FE Social Run (5.04mi before group run
Fenton City Park loop, 6.5mi during group run)
- Thu - 5 mi @ CH Social Run (rainy)
- Fri - 10.73 mi @ Fenton City Park / Meramec Greenway
after staff meeting and before work
- Sat - 5 mi @ FE Social Run
- Sun - 5.15 mi @ Francis Park loop after work
- Weekly Total = 53.9 miles
February 28th - March 6th: Track Season starts Monday!
- Mon - 10 mi @ Forest Park before practice
- Tue - 5.25 mi @ SC Social Run - felt great!
- Wed - 7 mi @ FE Social Run - throat acted up today, very
hoarse
- Thu - 5 mi @ CH Social Run - throat still not good...

- Sat - 3 mi @ FE Social Run - had to walk some on this
body was just not feelin' it today, bad run
