4 x 2000m @ 10K pace w/ 4min rest

First track workout back since before the marathon in Feb - it showed a little! :)

Goal was to do 4-6 2K's @ 10K pace w/ 4min rest. The first 2K I could use the watch and try to hit 80.? for each lap and establish that pace/feel. After that one I was not to look at the watch and just go by feel and see what happens.

Ran mile warmup on Lindbergh's track, did some drills and got underway.

Nailed the first one right on, despite being a little fast the first lap (76-77), after that lap I was right on pace as I split 6:38 (5:17 mile split on garmin). Felt good and relaxed.

The second one was again right on, and didn't look at the watch at all - felt just like the first one - 6:38 again (5:16 mile split on garmin).

On the third one I was good till about 400-600m left then faultered just a bit, split 6:45 on this one (5:20 mile split on garmin).

Body ran out of juice on the 4th and final one - just felt like running in slow motion the whole time, decided to finish at 4 after this. 6:51 (5:28 mile split on garmin).

Mile cool down afterwards on the roads.

Weather wasn't too bad, but it got warm very quickly and the wind at least felt great for the breeze it brought, otherwise there was no shade out there. Not bad, but could have been better I feel, but I ran the last 3 blind, didn't look at the watch and just as close to I could to that feeling of 80.? laps, so wasn't terribly too far off.

Thought of swimming afterwards in the evening but opted not too and grabbed a pound burger from Fuddrecker's which went down smoothly! :)
