May 24th - 4 Mile Threshold - Katy Trail

Not a great workout - ran this right after work, probably first mistake.  Started out 2 miles to see how I felt, then decided to do the next 4 miles out for the threshold, mistake number 2.  I started basically 1 mile out from the Greens Bottom trail head, which also was heading straight into the wind.  First 2 miles were under 6min, but I was already struggling which I shouldn't be.  The next 2 miles were much slower...and my body just felt weak.  Maybe it is all the mileage catching up with me?  I was at a total of 6 miles out for the turnaround, then ran back for 2.25mi before stopping to walk - I needed water badly at that point.  I walked till I hit 3 miles, just around the Greens Bottom trail head and ran back till I hit 11.75mi, which was the hill heading up to the Paige Extension parking lot and walked the last .25mi to the car.  I was just depleted.
